i was singing that tune in my head and i agree, the old classic superman music is too upbeat for this darker superman , they should leave it for the ending of the Man of Steel Series

Huh? I'm not talking about playing the most upbeat moments of the theme when superman is being all emo..but not using at least some notes from the original theme is a mistake.

i've got this serial and its great.. they mixed live action with animation and it works really well.
