Flex, Chris, Paul, Rico. . . they stood there and just shook their heads. I know because I was there.

Who brought the pics into Golds and how long before the 1993 Olympia did it happen?

Good question.

Jerry Kindella, Weider's nutrition guy at the time- came in- walked by the desk and put the magazine on the counter. He said something like, "Here ya go guys, take a look at that fruitcake McGough's pics from last month"

Devistating. Legendary.

Those were some good days eh bro, do you know why Rico never got his pro card?, I mean he was around all the greats and had access to everything and was pretty popular too. Was it genetics, laziness or did he party to much  ???

I'll go with genetics.   Dude absolutely was not lazy.  Moved big big weight. Lots of volume.  Ate huge. All the good gear.  He was just a better, athlete/strongman than he was a bodybuilder.

He's a real good cat. Quick to laugh and always has a smile for ya.

I thought I read in Flex years ago, that there is actually a "story" to these photo's of Dorian in the black socks, something like....it wasn't even a photo shoot, he was done training, and hit a few poses, and this was several weeks out of the 199? Olympia??? Am I correct??

hardly a word was said.  i didn't ask him a thing, i didn't wanna be another idiot begging for secrets. (maybe i shoulda, dammit!!)

the bizarre thing was, there were two guys working out that looked bigger than Dorian in gym clothes. but later on when he posed at his seminar, you could not believe how fukking huge he was. it was like there was no way that was the same man that was at the gym earlier that day.

You hear that quite a bit, that he looked totally different posing than he did normally.

ya, but it was seriously beyond belief.  i think about it now and still can't believe the difference.  a couple local bodybuilders and a 300+lb super lean strongman got on stage and posed with him, and looked like swimmers.
