No Max without Mel.
First movie was very weird - it had the a surreal quality that was typical for the late 70ies. As an added bonus it was an Australian flick.
If they weren't such money bent whores they would just start a new franchise and have their turn at a roadwarrior themed franchise.

Even had Oldman in it, hamming it up a bit. Hillcoat is one of the better directors out there. Check out The Proposition, if you haven't already.

Why even make another one?  The first 2 are so great, just let it be.  The opening chase scenes in both films are so awesome.  Real crashes too, not fake like all films now.

He didnt have the physical presence nor stature for it.

Hope he doesnt go down the path same as Farell who fucks up any film he is in.
The only decent film I have seen him in was Tigerland.
