I read an article in WIRED about "the end of best buy" Yet in the article they talk about how they averaged $50 billion in sales the last three years. How the fuck is $50B in sales a bad thing? Why is it if you are not making more and more and more each year that it is so bad? |

Umm.. not sure your experience, but this year, I ordered more items via Bestbuy.com than any other site, including tvs, games, DVDs and other items, each different times. I got everything in great working order, great prices, and on time too. Web site is fine, if you KNOW what you are looking for.

Just looked at their financials - their operating expenses almost match their income. But it's not a surprise, BB should only be a last resort when buying stuff - the prices of monoprice, newegg, Amazon, etc all destroy BB. Plus, their in store experience is in the tank. Just saw Ron's post - your experience is not the norm. This are huge problems across the chain in terms of price and in store customer service. |
