Asus X202E, $499 at the Microsoft Store. It is made from aluminum, has a touch-screen, and comes with the full version of Windows 8. I bought one for my son for Christmas and I have been pleasantly surprised by how good it is.

Need to replace my ancient home desktop.
Already have a great monitor, so considering buying a lap-top with a docking station so it can serve as the desktop.
That's how I'm set up at work.
