Now that part I agree with but what did you mean by the way they live?

By the WAY THEY LIVE THEIR LIFE...with kindness, compassion, love, and peace.

For my grandfather, who shared this poem with me on his deathbed. I truly believe in it:

THE MEASURE OF A MAN

Author: Anonymous

Not - How did he die? But - How did he live?
Not - What did he gain? But - What did he give?

These are the things that measure the worth
Of a man as a man, regardless of birth.

Not - What was his station? But - had he a heart?
And - How did he play his God-given part?

Was he ever ready with a word of good cheer?
To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?

Not - What was his church? Not - What was his creed?
But - Had he befriended those really in need?

Not - What did the sketch in the newspaper say?
But - How many were sorry when he passed away?

These are the things that measure the worth
Of a man as a man, regardless of birth.

This is not some recent epiphany, I've spent the last 2 years taking action.  I agree, words mean nothing, it's what you do.

Why can't you address the question I asked?  What did you do TODAY that made someone's life better.  I am not talking about "I trained this guy today that made him more confidant".  No, that guy is paying you to do that.  What have you done out of the goodness of your heart that you cold look on and say "I made a difference today without receiving anything in return"?

Somehow I think that you will avoid this.

Looked and all I saw was your attempt at sounding like a motivational speaker.  Obviously I must spell this out for you...

Today, I had a woman come into my office with severe low back pain.  She just lost her job last week.  Her husbands insurance has a $1000 deductible, none met due to beginning of year.  After treating her, she was able to walk upright (still in pain, but so much better than when she walked in) and said she felt like she will be able to sleep tonight.  We told her that we understand her position and we are going to waive a large chunk of the deductible.  She was so gracious she actually had tears.  did she ask me to do that?  Nope.  Did I want anything from her?  Nope.  All I wanted to do was help her.

What have you done except regurgitate some motivational shit today?
