so its 50 to 8000 instead of 35 to 1100.   

big deal.

bringing up crime statistics is a valid point...   but people calling for tougher gun laws do so on behalf of gun deaths, not generalized crime.

It's a bit deeper than that tbombz.  On top of that, consider the population and diversity of the United States compared to the UK.  We have more Crips and Bloods than they have Police.
