We should throw more money at the "educational system" if you ask me.  

Maybe if we spent as much money on educating our children as they do in South Korea, India, China, etc., America wouldn't be so academically sluggish!

Such a measure would have disastrous results.   A class system would emerge the likes of which hasn't been seen since the time of Jonathan Swift. Only those who could afford an education would get one.  Crime rates would sore.

yeah, i agree, esp on the everyones educational system, not just the elite univerities.

in pauls world, only the ones who could afford would go to private schools, and the rest would be doomed to be modern day cotton pickers.

I was joking...we already spend more on the educational system than each of the "higher ranked" educational systems I listed.  

Go to any graduate program in science or mathematics in the US and you'll find it filled with foreign-educated students who were educated more effectively (for much less money) than their US educated peers.  Throwing more money at our education system isn't going to do a thing.  

If you think giving elementary school children another "school-use" iPad is going to improve their standardized testing scores, then continue on your rant.
