You're a car guy. How much money would you have to be taking home per month to justify a $100k porsche? w

I'm a cat guy.
ok, i'll rephrase - how much would you have to be taking home to buy a $100k cat (that you could actually ride to work - so it would be of some utility)?

$100,000 for a cat? That better be a damn nice cat. To your question sir: Low $200,000+ bonus, with stability and the prospect of moving up.

Whew... That's actually a hard question.
Personally, I'd say I'd have to have a guaranteed salary of about 250K.
That's just me though.
Some people make 70K and buy 40K cars.

Per month.... hmmm... personally around 10k a month. That may be a bit low for such an expensive car but a man is a man

$16800. Rule of thumb, is don't buy a car that is more than 1/2 of your yearly income. $100k car = $200k income

That may be a bit low for such an expensive car but a man is a man I don't know if porsche would finance it if you only made 10k a month - some other lender might, but then your interest rate would be so high you might be in a tough spot. if you made 10k, you would take home about 7k(i think).... assume 2-3k for just fixed monthly expenses, 2k for the car (bad financing terms)... then add insurance. doesn't leave a whole lot of cushion before you have to start digging into savings.

If you have to calculate this scenario then the reality is you CAN'T afford it I tend to agree... seems hard to justify a car like that when you're young because it's basically just a huge self-indulgence. but you can't go through life denying yourself everything. are you the guy with the 550i?

I drank a Redbull right before my workout at 8:00 est. I've laid in bed for the last three hours twitching, so I said fuck it and pulled out my laptop.
