Unfortunately, live in the Detroit suburbs. Detroit is the most ass backwards corrupt city I've ever heard of. On top of that the unions and their thugs have ruined this place, and yes I'm in a union but not for long. It's so amazing how much nicer it is just across the river in Windsor Canada.

Yep. I lived in a Detroit suburb as well and used to go to the "charity casinos" before the "real' casinos were built. Windsor is cleaner, the people are good times. Detroit is a filthy ass pipe. |

Those who live or have lived in Detroit, enlighten us all why Detroit is a shit hole. Just take a quick drive thru there and you'll see for yourself. Downtown is like a ghost town. Block after block or abandoned dilapidated buildings. The unions bleed companies dry until they are bankrupt. When I moved up here I was shocked at how many foreclosesures their were. You could by used boats, rvs, motorcycles for next to nothing. After living here a while I realized why. All these uneducated auto workers tightening bolts were making 100k plus a year and spending every last dime. They refered to their savings and retirement as their boat or musclecar. Then you get into the politics of Detroit and the corruption is rampant. Every politician here is using the Kwame Kilpatrick model and following in his footsteps. I'm looking forward to July because I will be moving outta this dump. |
