Look at the last three elections. You'll notice a pattern, income-wise. The magic number seems to be $50,000 (per CNN exit polls).

Those who make less than $30,000 are overwhelmingly Democrat, $30,000 to $50,000 folk vote decisively Democrat.

$50,000 to $75,000 are about even.

$75,000 to $100,000 go decisively Republican

$100,000 and up....GOP in a landslide.

The $50,000 to $75,000 group are considered middle class. Their taxes weren't supposed to go up at all. Dowery's complaint (and the growing complaints of others) is they're being hit, AFTER Obama promised only the EEEEEVVVIIIILLLL rich people were going to get soaked.

And, as Straw Man can't quite get through that skull of his, it is these voters, NOT people like me or you, who are surprised that Obama is giving people like her the shaft.

I don't have to pretend. The reality is there. Among the tax hikes is ObamaCare, which hits primarily the middle class. It's a tax, Straw. So said Obama's lawyers UNDER OATH and the Supreme Court ruled it as such (which is why it's still legal).

If anyone was surprised that a TEMPORARY reduction in payroll taxes expired (and they actually got extended 12 months longer than they were originally supposed to) then they should blame themselves for being ignorant

you thought the Gallup POTUS Approval poll (before the election) was infallible and you also thought the exit polls in Wisconsin (after the election) were wrong

Not to mention that this poll oversampled Democrats. Take that out of the equation and Obama and Romney are virtually TIED.

Wisconsin has become a toss-up state. And the Dems are scared silly, as a result.
