Well... "If" the world is being dragged down by us that means they can't stand on their own... What's does that say about them that we have that much control over their "well being"..?

Hard to stand up when you get shot down. Hard to 'stand up' when your cloths are taken away from you. Hard to stand up when your dignity is taken away in the form of whole countries being razed down. Yes the world including the US itself is crumbling due to the evil greed of the US. Do you see the fruition of US' wars in the last decade? What has it led to? Is the US richer? No it's bankrupt? Iraq and oil? Are gas prices higher or lower? You are destroying the world and ironically destroying yourself.

The US always bears the brunt of criticism, but guess who is consistently the top contributor of emergency funding to nations struck by natural disastors? Us, of course. Developing countries such as Russia, China, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina all have increasing standards of living and a burgeoning middle class due to the free market and industrialization.
Gas prices are just fine, adjusted for inflation.

Excellent points! And, of course our government is corrupt. Show me one ANYWHERE in the world that isn't. Here's Jackie Chan spouting more pearls of wisdom during a brilliant display of public drunkenness at a 2006 concert:

Jackie Chan called the US the most corrupt country on the earth. Judging by all the many Chinese products that have injured, sickened and killed adults and babies because of the corruption of those making the product, I'd say China is much more corrupt than the US.

What do you mean? You're sad to agree with me? That's it, I'm going to start a 3-page meltdown on the Training board! Anyway, the true essence of socialism is probably a good idea when utilized properly. Being a U.S. citizen, though, I've seen more abuse of it than proper use. Rather than the collective pot helping everyone (like via roads, public schools, etc.), there is too much allocated to too many certain individuals in a way that encourages them to not work or contribute anything to society. This frivolous, irresponsible distribution results in more funds required with fewer contributers to kick in. That is my problem with the current welfare system. Someday, if you're interested, shoot me a PM reminder, and I can outline some of the outrageous ways that people can qualify to receive govt. aid. It should not be so easy, or enticing, for people to sit back and do nothing while collecting a check for it. Not everybody falls into this category, as some genuinely need it. But, I can tell you stories of things that I've personally seen. It's quite surprising and sickening.

Jackie Chan also said:
"I'm not sure if it's good to have freedom or not," Chan said. "I'm really confused now. Wow! I didn't think I could feel any less offended by his "corruption accusations," but...

What he doesn't add is that when he means "we need to be controlled", he really means "they need to be controlled" because he's rich and OBVIOUSLY not part of the 'problem'. What a tw@t
