Wow, it started at 9, I was in line at 9:45 and didn't get in until after 11. Fire Marshall closed it due to overcrowding. When I finally got in, all the ammo was gone. Shit was crazy.

WoW! That little stunt at Sandyhook has been one of the better promotional campaigns thus far organised by the NRA, they may not have to organise another psycho mass shooter event for a while now.

Irongrip where are you located? I am in Indiana and the big 1500 gun show started yesterday. They showed the line from yesterday (Friday, a work day) and it was longer than 3 football fields. I was going to go tomorrow but I won't now.

Virginia. Fascist police were out in full effect, keeping people "in line". They said the one last week was no where near as bad as this, just a regular show. But, I guess after Wednesdays announcement all bets are off.

Yeah, an Iron Cross. Got a buddy with a good deal on and AR, just gonna buy his. Not buying anything from a place I can't buy ammo too. Gonna go to the local pawn shop and get a 45 so I can get free range time.

Just forget gun shows and the big box stores. Walmart, Academy Sports, Cabela's, etc..... are all or soon instituting ammo restrictions on major calibers. The profit margin has gotten so strong and supply so small that even regular gun shops are buying ammo at them.

Let's not even speak of the market on the actual rifles, there are guys buying in the double digits because of hoopla about new laws.

In a functioning free market the cost of goods goes down over time as competition and technological innovation increase. This benefits the consumer. In a command economy (what the U.S has had since the Roosevelt presidency) central planning dictates the prices of goods. This happens either overtly by the use of tarrifs and quotas or covertly by legislating what goods and services can be sold. In all instances of government interference the cost of goods rise because of limits or because the black market has to fill the void.
