They should all stop. Sly, Arnold, Etc.,

Agreed, I want to add Mick Jagger, McCartney, Tyler to the list.  Don't want to see seventy year olds bouncing around on stage.

It's impossible to buy into the idea that he's chasing down criminals and jumping off roofs.

How about a role as a retired governor?

It looked like shit in the trailer. Arnold doesn't have his body or youth anymore. He's not a good actor and he's been reduced to cliches and one liners. Younger generations growing up don't hold him in the same regard as people around my age and older do so naturally, his popularity is and will continue to decline.

Bingo.  You nailed it.

Box office flop, The Last Stand, fails to impress as it earns only $1.9million to kick off holiday weekend

Despite a high profile online press junket (money well spent there), the film bombed on opening and barely made it into tenth place. In fact, this marks the worst opening for an Arnie film since "Raw Deal" all the way back in 1986.

this is what happens when you allow Johnny knoxville in your promo poster.
6.7 million in usa tenth place, compare to the last action hero from 20 years ago made 15 million opening weekend and that was considered a bomb. adjust for ticket price differences and this is arnold's heaven gate.

can't blame them, it's a business idea, there are always suckers who will pay to see their movies, so that's why this will continue to happen,

this is what we can expect from a culture of men admiring other men

Bruce Willis seemse to be carving himself a nice niche right now IMO - a lot of cameo roles and playing elderly guys in young guy films.

Arnie should take note - but then he's  not the actor Willis is.
Looper was good. And they put in there that China was the future...

Wiggs is spot on. The fact is that we're Schmoes. We need Arnold to have a body that carries him through movies. His acting is shit (apart from cyborgs or robots, where he's actually really good) and has never got better. He can't play the action hero convincingly any more and he has no range to gravitate towards other more interesting roles. He was all physique and one liners.. The body is gone and the one liners are tired.

Arnold should do more comedy or dramatic roles.

mentoring movies. Or a remake of Dennis The Menace, with Arnold playing Mr. Wilson. But this time, has a lot of guns, and a lot of "advices".
