Definitely a smart man, successful and a new age type of every-man philosopher. Not liked by a lot of Getbiggers though, I am surprised Alex23 by somebody who likes Jesse Ventura also likes Joe Rogan. |

Based on the tidbits I've heard, Rogan is a popularizer of already popularized material, distilling further content which has been derived from popularizers who themselves made the work more accessible from its original scientific/philosophical/technical origins. He's serving a purpose of sorts, but the thoughts aren't his. Anyone who is well-read like basically educated people are ought to know this. If you aren't, there's nothing wrong with that and your interest in the material is appreciable; just don't pretend Rogan made any of it.

I am not a fan of Joe Rogan the MMA commentator.
Joe Rogan's other venues, dude seems ok. But his MMA commentary is fucking obnoxious as hell.

Working as a stand up comedian, a UFC commentator, a talk show host, a snake oils salesman, one can only conclude he is a calculated and driven business man which is respected.
But he really comes of as being part of this new cult of drug proponents which are nothing more than the hippies of our time. Nothing bad about that, but just like the old hippies they all think they are on to something, they have it all figured out, they are in the know, they will change the world, they are at the cutting edge of society. Some of his guest have had interesting things to say. But I don't keep up with it, it seems pointless for the most part.

Joe Rogan is a stud. Some of you may know him from TV. Others from the UFC. But there are a lot of fascinating dimensions to this guy. I listen to podcasts regularly and highly recommend that you all do too. Nothing but good thoughts and positive vibe.

He thinks Alex Jones is a bit off his rocker but thinks highly of him. Joe is a pretty open minded guy when it comes to whacky conspiracy theories. He doesn't necessarily buy into them, but he doesn't just disregard them... |
