Yes, quite a bit.

I do all the time and anything over about 20 people and I start off with a shaky voice and talk fast. After 10 minutes I am good to,go.

I've done a lot of corporate speaking and training.  As long as I know the subject matter well, I don't get nervous.

If you've had a job working outside sales, it should be no problem. Just prepare a bit. Not saying have note cards, but you want to definately go over the topic and what you are going to talk about it, and how you will come across with it.

I prefer more people... had to present a lot for my work, and the bigger the crowd the more interesting it becomes.  One time I had to fill in for a guest speaker with only a couple hours notice, in front of 200 people.  that was fun, I held my own well though.   But I personally enjoy public speaking, so not a problem for me.

i play guitar, bass and sing for hundreds of people every week.  when it's a good song, you own it, and the band is solid, it's easy.

When the other guitarist is playing major instead of minor, the drummer can't open it up, and your backup harmonies suck, it can be brutal!  haha

it's all about your comfort with the material... doesn't hurt when the audience is drinking lol...

opposite for me... harder to own a new audience... really easy if you know the audience

not rocketscience, you simply use your mouth to talk,thats all

Go to some gaddamm Alcoholic Anonymous and get up there and talk. I went to about 40 of them cuz the fucking loser judge ordered me to.

By the time I got 5 meetings in, I was up there talking for 10 minutes yapping about shit I had no idea I was capable of.


But I don't think those fucking drunks in the audience were paying attention.

I dont dislike it, nor do I enjoy it. If I have to do it, I can, but I wont go out of my way to present.
