When did being ignorant become a virtue?
« on: January 28, 2013, 11:19:49 AM »
Seriously, america use to be a land where being knowledgeable was considered a virtue. Nowadays it seems like being ignorant is somehow seen as being superior, is  this some black influence on white culture, because more and more it appears "I don't know dat shit" is becoming the socially beneficial response.

P.S. I'm not talking about the glorification of people that "test" high on I.Q. scores, I'm talking about people that actually take time to know shit about stuff.

Anti-intellectualism isn't new. It's been around for a long time. Getbig political threads especially glory in such a stance.  :-\
