i know the pic i don't want to put it on here, i really don't know the back story at first i thought the women might be valerie coe but it's not. i think it was probably just something he might have shot in a foreign country figuring it would never get back here.jack lalanne and arnold both have pics out there they wish to recall.   Don looked like he may have been a shade smaller than Vince's star pupil, Larry Scott, but both men had a very symmetrical structure. I believe I once read that Don deviated from Vince's diet advice during contest-prep by abstaining from the protein drinks, relying instead on liver tablets alone. |

The Golden Eagle rocked a pretty good upper body in his youth. From the pic above, one would probably never have guessed he'd go on to be most famous for his wheels!
Its as if he didn't train legs in fear of affecting his height. Being shorter than my older brother I didn't start training with weights till I was about 20 cause I was always told I would no longer grow. Don't know if there's any scientific data to prove that but now its too late to go back in time even if its not true.  that's the truth could never understand how his legs took off and overshadowed his upper body.
 Ok here we see some actual leg development...pic above none at all. Great thread btw...I think it's no coincidence the people who've made it far have been into this since very early on. A lot of these guys where already taking half naked pics as they were going through puberty. |

Going on 32 myself and the paranoia of becoming old and frail is setting in with me as well 
I'm only guesstimating, but I'd say Don's around his late-40's there. Age is often hard to tell simply by looking at some people.
I see he was born in 1935....would have to know what year the pic was taken in...regardless I think thats a good estimate. |

arthur jones was an innovator and defintely not a guy to be trifled with, his appearance on david letterman was classic you could see the fear in letterman's eyes from some of the things jones said. |
