so the gun free zones have produced more murders than when gangsters with fully automatic tommy guns with 50 round drums and fully automatic BAR's were running around?

lets make the entire country a gun free zone.

Nothing to smile about, but Tony is correct... Gun free zones are the dumbest idea ever.

I doubt 3 is laughing at the deaths; I can't understand how/why anyone who knows him on here would draw that conclusion.

The smile/laughter is obviously directed at the irony of today's "gun-free zones" seeing more shooting deaths than in the old gangster days.

Potential shooters commit gun violence in areas where there are no expectancies of encountering armed resistance.  It is a pretty simple concept.

Here you go my gun lovin brothers.

There was a deadly shooting Friday outside of Martin Luther King, Junior High School on Detroit's east side.

Police sources say two armed males tried to rob a coach leaving the school.  The coach, who has a concealed pistol license, fired shots killing one of the individuals and critically wounding the other.

Sources also tell us the two males previously attended the school.  One was expelled.

You don't have to tell me, brother. From a past job, I've seen what this type of people get and how they use it.
BTW - what is ebt? I'm not familiar with that term.

This... It's basically a Debit card that replaces food stamps.

Supposed to curb the selling of food stamps and things of that nature... I think it does, but it's not fantastic at it... People basically use the cards like credit now.

Okay, thanks.

When I worked at the bank about ten years ago, they were called Access cards. They were green cards with the word "Access" printed in yellow lettering. Our ATM machine would capture them and we could never return them - bank policy - so, they'd have to apply for another one, which took time.

Of course, we were the bad guys trying to keep them from getting their entitlements. These slugs would then call corporate and file complaints, which would affect our customer service scores.

I don't miss that place or job one bit, but it opened my eyes!

PLEASE!! Jackson ought to know better. It's negroes, killing each other. There's no political mileage in that. It's only when blacks get killed by white people (actual or perceived), that it gets national attention and warrants concern.

I'm smiling AND laughing about it. Here you have the strictest gun laws in the entire country and the highest murder rate to accompany it. Their only answer is more laws (because the ones about murder are clearly being followed).

It's pretty comical, really.

Chicago Will No Longer Respond to Some 911 Calls
February 05, 2013 05:00 PM EST
2 people recommend this | comments: 6

Chicago will no longer respond to 911 calls where the offender is no longer on the scene of the crime. The crimes impacted could include "burglaries, thefts, and simple assault" if the victim is not thought to be in immediate danger.

The "austere new measure," as reported by Beth Stebner of the Daily Mail, "will allow officers to work on beats rather than filing paperwork." Will the lack of a police officer immediately at the scene of a crime result in valuable evidence being destroyed? It is distressing that people will not be able to count on law enforcement for these types of "simple" crimes, which can be quite devastating.

Stebner continues to report that "no cop will be dispatched" for "robberies, garage burglaries, and property damage...unless the suspect is still on-scene and there is still a present danger for those around." Will this move empower criminals to engage in more crime? The author reveals that Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy cites a startling statistic, "as it stands, Chicago officers respond to around 70 percent of 911 calls, as opposed to around 30 percent for other cities." It would be interesting to know the break-down of the calls, as some 911 calls are admittedly frivolous.

Considering that only 25% of murders are solved in America's murder capital, it is not a stretch to believe that an even lower percentage of "simple crimes" will be solved.
