Ramón Mendoza-Melão, Andrew Mendoza's politically liberal uncle, was interviewed after the incident and related that love with livestock is a very complicated undertaking; especially, if one's planning on having a family in these intolerant times. In defense of his nephew, he insisted that it takes at least two to ride a horse. He added that Consuela, the mare who is at the center of this imbroglio, isn't the innocent victim of Andrew's lust, as reports have so far conveyed. Mendoza-Melão believes that Consuela shares just as much fault for what many take to be a one-sided act of lascivious indiscretion. Others interviewed for this piece also painted Consuela in an unflattering light. Many reported that the mare has a reputation throughout the corral for being a real teaser, always lifting her tail to strangers, while giving them an alluring sideways glance. To corroborate their allegations of her lack of character, we were shown this video of Consuela's BGF, Ernesto, who was caught
in flagrante delicto trying to bugger a simple ranch hand.
