I haven't had a real close male friend of another race in many years.  Being one of a handful of whites in the area I grew up in, the white kids had a tendency to congregate for protection and back up. I've stayed friends with these same individuals for the duration of my adult life.

It's been a long time since one of my good friends was a different race.

In high school, one of my best friends was Peruvian.

In university, one of my good buddies was Vietnamese.

But since then, just work acquaintances (some closer than others) of various races. But I would hesitate to name any of the people I work with as close friends. We're just friendly with each other in a work way.

My wife is from a different planet sometimes....does that count?

I have friends from many races/cultures... it's really the same in all cases, friends are friends unless they back-stab.  Then they're gone

Yes, my room mate in College was a black man from the country, his family owned a farm and raised Ostriches, and dated white girls pretty much only and is married to a white girl.  He is like a brother to me and I helped him when he ran into some legal problems.

Interesting question. Three of the four people i'd consider best friends growing up were a different ethnicity than me- one of them a blue eyed white devil, the other south asians from a different country of origin than mine.
