The biggest lesson I've got from this -cops will try to kill an old woman on the street without thinking twice because they are scared of ONE MAN who in their imagination MIGHT be in her car- what would they do if the USA was in a state of serious trouble!!!!!

Danziger Bridge shootings - Six days after Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans, members of the city's police department killed two people: 17-year-old James Brissette and 40-year-old Ronald Madison. Four other people were wounded. All victims were unarmed. Madison, a mentally disabled man, was shot in the back. New Orleans police fabricated a cover-up story for their crime.

On September 4, 2005, New Orleans police received a call from an officer at Danziger Bridge reporting gunfire. Several NOPD officers—including Sgt. Kenneth Bowen, Sgt. Robert Gisevius, Officer Anthony Villavaso, and Officer Robert Faulcon—arrived at the scene in a Budget rental truck. They proceeded to open fire with assault rifles and a shotgun on an unarmed family, the Bartholomews, who had been walking to a grocery store and were then sheltering behind a concrete barrier. 17-year-old James Brissette—a family friend—was killed, and four other people were wounded. Two brothers, Ronald and Lance Madison, fled the scene, but were pursued down the bridge by Gisevius and Faulcon in an unmarked state trooper vehicle. Faulcon fired his shotgun from the back of the car at Ronald, a developmentally disabled man who would later die from his injuries. Bowen was later convicted of stomping him on the back before he died, though this conviction was overturned for lack of physical evidence.  Lance Madison was then taken into custody and accused of the attempted murder of police officers.

No weapons were recovered at the scene, and both police and civilian witnesses testified that the victims had been unarmed. Later investigation showed that some shots had been fired in the area by trapped residents attempting to attract the attention of rescuers.

Ex GF describes him as a complete nutter.

Quote
There’s been a gulf between the Christopher Dorner that friends called “friendly” and “positive,” and the Christopher Dorner who this week became a real-life Rambo who went on a rampage targeting law enforcement. But now information emerging in court documents and interviews paints a more complex picture of Dorner and his emotional struggles. Ex-girlfriend Ariana Williams told ABC 7 that she was initially attracted to Dorner, who was outgoing and friendly. But she became troubled by his paranoia.

After they broke up, Williams wrote a post about him on DontDateHimGirl.com, and Dorner filed a restraining order against her, according to court papers from 2006. Dorner claimed that Williams was harassing him and sent him a threatening letter to his home. The Associated Press obtained a copy of Williams’ posting on DontDateHimGirl.com through court documents. She posted his badge number and described him as “severely emotionally and mentally disturbed,” ”twisted” and “super paranoid.” She claims that Dorner hated himself for being black and at one point asked her to act more like a white woman. The post said, “Just be careful because this guy is a police officer and he will probably think that he can get away with anything. … If you value your sanity, stay away from this guy.”

Big Fucking deal what an EX Girlfriend says, of course she is going to talk shit about him, they broke up and he even took out a restraining order on her.  She is bound to be bitter, twisted and glad she now has an opportunity to bad mouth him. If he was such an obvious cun+, why did she date him, her comments reflect more on her than him.  having said that, the guys gone troppo, but I still wouldn't put any weight in what this HAG says!  Hopefully he reads this shit and takes her fat arse out too!

E-Kul, why do you think his family disowned him (prior to to his killing spree)?

Who cares why his family disowned him.  Even the fact they disowned him is telling about what type of family they are, most parents support their kids even when they commit horrible crimes, it sounds like it just wasn't a functional family.  I think most modern families are more dysfunctional than functional, some more so than others.  They raised him, and if he turned out bad they have to take responsibility for their child rearing skills.  From my experience, adults who suffer from excessive rage had abusive childhoods and a lack of love and support.  I haven't heard much media reports about his family and what happened.

By the sounds of it and the accounts of people who knew him he was a fairly ordinary guy who cared about doing the right thing (perhaps more than most) and sadly was exposed to too many evil arseholes that tipped him over the edge.  I guess the reasoning is, in the modern world, if doing the right thing is wrong, well their is no point doing the right thing, because it gets you nowhere.   If people won't listen to reason, force is your only other option.  I know plenty of arseholes from my past who get some sadistic pleasure from fucking with other people, and if somebody finally had enough and blew those fuckers of the face of the earth, I wouldn't feel sorry for them for a nanosecond.

http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/LA-US-Marshal-Suspected-Dorner-Fled-to-Mexico-190790531.html

Former LAPD officer Christopher Dorner -- the suspect in three killings that have targeted law enforcement and the subject of a continuing manhunt -- was suspected last week of  fleeing to Mexico, according to a federal court document.

The criminal complaint filed in federal court on Feb. 7 charges Dorner with fleeing to avoid prosecution. It states that there was reason to believe he had crossed the border into Mexico.

An affidavit included in the complaint (PDF) was written by U.S. Marshals Service Inspector Craig McClusky the same day that the search for Dorner led to his burned out truck in the mountain resort of Big Bear.

McClusky recounted the Irvine Police Department's request for assistance from the U.S. Marshal Service in finding Dorner after he became a suspect in the Feb. 3 killing of Keith Lawrence and Monica Quan, who is the daughter of an LAPD official mentioned by Dorner is a manifesto that details his alleged revenge plot.

McClusky described "the recent observations of a suspect matching Dorner's description attempting to flee to Mexico," and stated "there is probable cause to believe that Dorner has moved and traveled in interstate and foreign commerce from California to Mexico" to avoid prosecution.

The document also states that U.S. Marshals were tracking a Dorner associate identified only as "J.Y.," who had been spotted in Costa Mesa.

The search for Dorner continued in Big Bear on Monday, even as police followed multiple sightings of the former officer that turned out to be false.

Also on Monday, the Riverside County District Attorney's office filed a charge of murder against Dorner in the shooting death of Officer Michael Crain, who was killed in what authorities have described as an ambush. Crain was shot Thursday while he and his 27-year-old trainee partner were sitting at a traffic light near the Riverside Freeway in a shooting that police described as an ambush.

"We felt the state of the evidence dictated there was no reason to withhold filing charges," Riverside County District Attorney Paul Zellerbach said. "He's a felon at large."

The Los Angeles Police Department on Sunday announced a $1 million reward in the case. More than 600 tips have been received, according to the LAPD.

The manhunt for fugitive former LAPD officer and suspected murderer Christopher Dorner has taken a toll on Southern California police departments.

Hundreds of officers are working on the Dorner case, not just responding to every credible sighting, but also protecting at least 50 families connected to the angry manifesto Dorner allegedly wrote, saying he would kill police.

The response on Sunday at a Lowe's store in Northridge was massive, but the report that Dorner was there was later found to be false -- like many other sightings.

Timeline: Revenge-Plot Slayings | Read: Full Manifesto | Map: LAPD Manhunt | Tips: 213-486-6860

But police say they're not letting up.

"We'll continue to go until we have Mr. Dorner in custody, and the threat has ceased," LAPD Lt. Andy Neiman said Monday.

That is a tall order -- costly not in dollars, Los Angeles Police Department Chief Charlie Beck said, but also in public safety.

"While this continues, our ability to do other things -- to respond to 911, to do criminal investigations, to do community relations events, is crippled," Beck said.

So what happens if you're the victim of a crime?

A citywide tactical alert can get officers to you if you're in jeopardy.

But commanders say officers may not respond to "smaller" crimes, and you should consider reporting them to your local police station in person.

Neiman said an example of a crime to report in person is "your house is broken into, there's no threat of somebody there now, there's no imminent threat to somebody's safety."

Other law enforcement agencies, such as the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, say the Dorner situation has had little noticeable effect on response times.
