What difference would it be if they used a drone w missles to attack him in the cabin?
Nothing. This seems like WACO to me a bit
Nothing. Both would be illegal. This is a LOT like Waco. They remembered to kick out the media, but forgot people would be scanning the radios when they decided to execute him. They did execute him. They burned an occupied house. Not accidentally - on purpose and in a very coordinated effort, which we heard.

it is obvious Chris was killing what the cops loved most , their family
so they all took it personal to save their family from harm
they would of burn that building down no matter who was in that building with Chris be it a woman, man, kid, cop, chief of police , mayor , whatever

Hold someone in the death row for at least 10 years can cost about 2 millions of $ for the state. California is near to the bankruptcy, better is to kill him directly. But cops who shot in all azimuts should be in jail.

It is a violation of the Geneva convention to use flame weapons against a civilian. It is murder to have a police officer do it intentionally to murder the occupant.
Pretty funny... Dorner's goal was to expose how evil and lawbreaking the law enforcers were. He did that with his death. They ordered him to be burned alive. It's all over national news now. Someone ordered the use of the "burner".
Reminds me of the end of the movie with clint eastwood, Gran Torino.

Lots of people jumping to conclusions here. assuming that the police just decided to burn him alive in a house, something so outlandish and wrong it would be sure to cause major waves. And they decided to do this, for the first time ever, in the face of a massivley publicized manhunt that is going to be pored over with a fine tooth comb. Yes, the top brass OK'd this absolutely retarded course of action. "hey guys, let's burn him to death and answer questions about it for the rest of our lives" Something went wrong, shit was crazy, and that's what wound up happening...as facts come out it will become clearer

Cops deal with a shitload of Evil during the Witching hours that most people don't want to deal with. And because most cops are on a rotating schedule, its easy to see how emotions can carry over. FAct is, cops are being experimented on as much as the society that they stand in front of.

The Hierarchy call the shots. When the cops set the place ablaze, they were just following orders like good little robots.

The more they do it, the more desensitized the people become of it. These robots(cops)are just following orders.

but isn't that what he wanted? he could have surrendered at any point in time. Police are authorized BY LAW to use deadly force on a hostile suspect, they didn't take the law into their own hands, they followed the law.

They drove into the cabin first, they knew who was there and who wasn't. My god you pansies make it sound like they ambushed him as he was sitting in a car minding his own business......oh wait, didn't Dorner do that a couple times.
Viva fire!

too bad it was snowing and the blaze couldn't spread
high fire season would of saved Doners ass from cooking like roasted ham
