Sus question (broken amp)

Hey boys gotta question.... I shattered the glass on my amp of sus. While all of it shattered in my hand and im pretty sure that nothing was transfered in to the barrell it did spark a thought in my mind of a what if? what if i did inject a shard of glass... what would happen? has this happened to any of you or do any of you guys now what would happen?

I say it's not work it... Unless you could possibly strain it somehow.

I've had that happen a couple times where I'd snap the amp and some of the shards would fall in the solution.  It's virtually impossible to draw up a shard of glass, but if you are worried use a small guage like a 25" and you'll be fine.  I've never had that happen, never had an abscess either.

and have always felt that both the mass (or dis-similarity)
of the glass (shards) and viscosity of the oil would
would limit the likelyhood of glass pieces being
drawn into the syringe.

??not to worry?? I would probably use it anyway,
but draw with a 25 gauge pin (instead of 20g).

I have also thought of the whole damned
amp shattering in my fingers causing injury...
EG cuts to fingers - - never has than goodness.

Routinely? Or more specifically in the case of a bad break of amps . . .

Been there, done that.  Switch to a small (23-25g) pin and move on.  Microfragments of glass really shouldn't harm you, and I doubt you'd actually get any up into the barrell anyway.

i use them for all my amp stuff... but i work at a place that has them, so i just put a couple in my pocket everytime i work

If I were you, I would throw away the syringe, the pin and the sust250 amp, it's not worth any risks even the smallest one.

If he's shooting with a 25G needle there is virtually no chance that he'll inject a shard of glass.

had a couple of amps not crack quite right even with the click opener and noticed the numerous little shards of glass at the bottem of the amp......solution: draw up your elixer with the bevel side up and "stop whining" (said in your best Ah-nold impersonation  )
If you want to throw that away its your choice and your loss.
