Missouri Democrats introduced an anti-gun bill which would turn law-abiding firearm owners into criminals. They will have 90 days to turn in their guns if the legislation is passed.

Dana Loesch Radio reported on the new legislation being pushed by Missouri Democrats:

Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution.

Hereís part of the Democratic proposal in Missouri:

4. Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:

(1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;

(2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or

(3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.

5. Unlawful manufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine is a class C felony.

I saw this and contacted an old classmate of mine who is in the House.  He laughed and said this Bill will be DOA.  He said the Sponsor and co-sponsors are committing political suicide and he is a Democrat.  We are a concealed carry state and most of Missourians are rednecks outside of the 2 major cities.  The sponsor is from a suburb of St. Louis and is an old woman who is out of touch with reality.

Missouri Dems: Letís Just Force Gun Owners to Surrender, Destroy Their Weapons

Why wait for the supply to dry up over time when you could just force gun owners to surrender or destroy their weapons immediately? Missouri Democrats think itís a good idea:

Democrats in the state House have proposed a bill that would force gun owners to either surrender or destroy weapons including semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines and semi-automatic pistols with a fixed magazine that can shoot more than 10 rounds before being reloaded.

Ammunition-feeding devices that can hold more than 10 rounds also would be banned. Owners also could send their weapons to another state instead of surrendering or destroying them and would have 90 days after the billís passage to make a decision.

While itís highly unlikely the bill will pass in the Republican-controlled House, it is another example of Democratsí extreme anti-gun agenda, which is being played out not just at the federal level but in state legislatures across the nation as well.

Forcing gun owners to surrender or destroy such weapons is tantamount to confiscationóso in this sense, these Dems have learned a thing or two from the Justice Departmentís internal memos:
