you should be more concerned about your brain other than your spine, if you can't stop posting shit threads like this, you might become completely retarded

dealifts are for people who think theyre hardcore lifters.

they then grow a wide waist.

same for squats.

and they destroy their joints in the process.

meanwhile, i dont do deadlifts at all and have xmas tree on lower back, and i squat with 220lbs max and have better and leaner legs than most here.

You can build a fine physique without these lifts, no doubt. Depends on what your going for. I'm a permanent bulker

You are wrong boss.

Deadlifts and squats are great exercises and do not thicken your waist.

You wont get injured either if you do them right and leave your ego at your door.

why would deadlifting or squats thicken your waist? what muscle around your waist is being worked? a common misconception about the classiic olympic lifts.

powerlifters are thick around the waist because it gives them support and allows them to move more weight... doesnt apply to a bodybuilder who doesnt train or eat like a powerlifter.

I feel pain in my lower back when I stop doing deadlifts, after 3-4 weeks without deads my lower back is at me, I guess
maybe my spinal erectors start to get a bit soft?, dont know.

Could nt imagine not doing deads, squats and cleans every week since I dont do any direct arm training, chest and shoulders is just bench press
and overhead press.

I dont know about the wide waist, mine is 31 inches and I deadlft 3 x bodyweight, but I will say that squatting does nothing for my legs, my ass
grows, thats about it, I squat because I like to squat and it makes and legs stronger but not bigger, I need to do front squats after back squats
to get hypertrophy in my quads,

regards.

squats worked great on my quads  (but also ass i think)

i think because i sit down and my knees go forward waaaay too much according to the internet experts

that causes all the pressure to go to quads not hips

i think

Some people only need to do squats and their legs will blow up, in my experience its usually guys with shorter femurs that get the most
out of squats, I ve always struggled with them, I have long femurs and find squats tough, of course I could just have bad genetics for
developing quads, dont know, back squats for strength, front squats for hypertrophy seems to work, the only good news is that those long
legs come in useful when deadlifting, when I pull its practically a stiff leg deadlift, all back and grip strength.

Regards

Edit : Made a mistake above , should have typed long arms, I have long arms and legs which suck if you re squatting or benching but good for deads.

Just aches when standing up for a short while, if not lying right ect making being comfortable nearly impossible. Regular back work seems to allieviate it.
