Well, if you have children to support, than you really have no choice.  Once you have children, your life no longer belongs to you....it belongs to them.  So if you work at Walmart, that is your destiny in life so your kid doesn't have to.

If single, then.....ditch the car, ditch the apartment..and live off the land.  Wander throughout all of America, working odd jobs here and there.  If you have your health, why not?  Camping every night, eating fresh fish, living off the grid a bit.  Experience the city for a bit then move on. 

Or, you could just sell everything you have, cash everything out, and purchase a Diesel pickup.....and convert the rear seats into a living quarters.  Drive up to the Dakotas as a laborer and start making some money.
