The Alien Interview could be easily faked today but the video first surfaced in 1996 when it would've cost millions of dollars to do something like that using CGI techniques. Also, why would they bother spending millions on CGI only to record the thing on video (VHS) instead of film? I believe Terminator 2 was the most expensive movie ever made up until the release of Titanic in 1997.

Not long ago they had a segment on the "interview" on. Believe the history cannel.. They brought on a special effects guy who said e could tell that it was nothing more than a puppet.. And not a great one by any means.. His words..
