Tattoos always make me think that, either the individual had a criminal past, or has struggled with some sort of addiction.

Not someone you'd prefer having as neighbour in your gated community.

There ARE exceptions of course.

I figure the tat-ee was really bored, drunk, or in the throes of an identity fixation.  We've all had these moments except these people enjoy a constant reminder of it.

Tats were invented first in China, where they would ink the name of your owner onto your forehead.  This made running away to freedom a challenge.

When I was young the only ones that had tattoos were military guys and bikers. Now you go to the beach and the whole family has them. Grandpa, grandma, mom and dad, teenage children with a pre teen kid with earrings. It's just isn't cool anymore. Last time I saw a girl with what I thought was a birth defect on the top of her foot. Only when she was close it turned out to be a tattoo.

 It use to be you were a rebel. Now it shouts I follow the crowd.

Everyone has their own thing going. If you like tattoos more power to you. Enjoy them.  I just don't get the appeal.

If you DON'T have tattoos, you're not one of the cool kids

It's more normal with teenagers and young adults HAVING tattoos than without in some areas these days.

Quite strange how it has progressed.

1. criminals

2. islanders becuase of their culture ( tongans, samoans, maori)


no every tom dick and harry have one becuae its "art"


the funniest people are the ones that have love hope and some other gay shit tattooed and when you ask them

why they cant give you a reasonable answer

my theory for people who get tattoos are the same as people who smoke cigarettes just trying to be cool

You would do better buisness wise without them if they tend to stick out/get noticed... Me, Ive never taken one, but have played with the thought plenty of times. If I ever get one, at least I know what it will be and where, but I think from a reasonable perspective - Im better off without them. I dont really like girls being all tattoed up as well, wtf is the big deal about tattoos anyway? ::)

these look like straight jail-house, or poorly done trash ink. I believe a mafia dude could afford a better artist.
tattoos are only scary if you know the meanings. So only scary to other criminals.
