Are you dumb? Russell was a one in a million talent back then. Pippen was good, but other guys(kobe) have had better supporting casts. Nobody can argue that Jordan is the goat right now.

Hahaha, they talk like pippen was top 100 ever. he's more like top 100 in defense.  jordan was surrounded by clowns like  bj armstrong, paxson, william, cartwright, longley, etc, etc, etc.

lebrick got his 1st and 2nd rings on wade's team.

Russell was a great, not better then jordan, what did I say that was dumb? you would take russell over jordan? if not, then there is nothing stupid about my statement.

I would argue that kobe did not have a better cast. Shaq is better then pippen and kobe imo, if I had to select a prime player it would be shaq. However, pippen was very very good and rodman is better then pau, bynum, rice etc. dude was a defensive monster and grabbed more boards in terms of rebounding percentage then anyone in history, save reggie evans that one year in TO.

It's debatable but I would take pippen over anyone not named shaq during kobe's runs and Pau is good but not on par with rodman imo.

Pippen was a great player. Guy was like a loooongg point guard with fantastic D.

He was just as important as Jordan was to that team since he was the buffer between Jordan and the other players.

Jordan was/is a dick that nobody could stand. I mean he sucker punched Steve Kerr of all people.

Lebron only has 1 chip. Wade has 2.

And Pippen was awesome.

who's going to beat miami this year?  that team in KC  ::), the Social Security Club Celtics or that dysfunctional team in LA? Lebrick has 2 rings.

BTW, NBA is junk.  In Jordan's day, they didn't have a league full of immature high schoolers, which is the biggest reason the NBA is JUNK!

The Pacers might knock the Heat out of the East before they even get to the Championship. They match up well.

In 7 games Indiana will never beat the Heat! Indiana play tough on defense but have shitty offense! Can't score enough points!

You are most likely right. But they have matched up well against them and are a tough out.

not only that, but jordan didn't take care of himself at all.  probably ran gear.  drank whiskey, smoked cigars, played cards half the night, whored around.

given today's medicine, sports technology, special 'clinics' in germany that peyton manning and kobie visit...

In ten years, Lebron will probably still be playing at 85% of what he is today.  He'll destroy jordan on longevity when all is said and done.  He might only have 4 titles when he retires, but his dominance will probably surpass jordan easily.

I let the future worry about itself.

indiana caught them off guard last year when they had to learn to play witohut Bosh.

they're just at a level of the 72-10 bulls right now.  they're playing at 80% and going on 10 game winning streaks.

Spurs are doing that playing with scrubs and backups.

Ginobili is one of the more underrated players of his generation.

Jordan had a year where he averaged 32.5 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists, 2.9 steals, shot 54% and won both MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, for all you young whippersnappers out there who only remember MJ in his 30s.

yes Jordan was, but he also had drive and work ethic. He wanted to beat you and the team, and wouldn't let a cold or the flu stop him. Lebron is not like that, or maybe I should say in today's mediocre league, Lebron doesn't need to be like that. Games are won and lost in the 4th quarter. The other 3 quarters don't matter in today's game. Being a great all around player doesn't matter either (if one skill set starts to fade, you have others to fall back on). This was seen with Shaq. It seems that due to the acceptance that Shaq wasn't a good free-throw shooter, that it became par for course that great players lacked a complete game. As long as they could dunk or help win a ring.
This in turn helped foster a culture of lax standards for the skill sets of today's ball players.

Pippen was proto-LeBron basically, he could do it all.  Great all-around player and a wrecking machine on defense in his prime.

are you serious? shaq had a flaw, alot of greats have flaws, jordan didn't shoot the three well at all. Shaq however, had dominant traits in other areas, the likes of which we have never seen before.

dude in his prime was a 20-22 ppg scorer, 6 ast, 6.5 boards and 2 steals a game, with some of the best on ball defense in history. Top 50 player, top 20 SF.

The game has changed in the last ten years or so.  I bet three points attempts are up by a lot since Jordan's playing days.

His scoring is even more impressive when you consider he only made 0.5 threes per game over his career.  He was really bad at them early but got better and was good enough that you at least had to guard him out there still.  He was real good those years where they moved the line in to 19 feet or whatever ridiculous short length it was.  They moved it back his last year in Chicago and he sucked again (24%).

Yes I think you can make a case for Pippen being the best perimeter defender in NBA history, maybe the best defender overall.  He was ridiculously good.

San Antonio is the only team that scares me against the Heat! They play possesion half court ball and slow the game down! They don't turn the ball over which is where the Heat dominate forcing turnovers! But they also seem to fade in the playoffs, probably because their big 3 are older!

Yes SA-MIA would be a good series I think.  SA is a fun team to watch, they have a bad rap for being boring but I think it's just because they aren't in a big market.

I don't see anyone in the east touching Miami this year.  Even if Rose comes back and is MVP caliber (he won't be) the Bulls aren't beating them in a series.  New York could get hot I guess and give them trouble, maybe.

shaq was a big dude who only dunked, good down low, and from 15 feet. Poor stamina, fat. That is all. The Worm man-handled him. He was not very mobile. And he had good blocks, only due to his size.

he was good at blocks in his orlando days, after that he was fucked, he had no timing, alonzo was a blocking specialist.
