Seriously just watched it, yeah and I know by saying it's the best I'm gonna ruin it for you but fuck it.

For a fantasy/kids movie, it was pretty dam good.

Just wasted 2:36 of my life watching the trailer. Not going to compound that mistake by watching the whole movie.

Nah looks is the word, I was watching it just for the cgi, was pretty surprised. It's like forest gump meets castaway.

I donno how great it is because I despise family movies, any I've tried to watch in the last decade have been shit

If I wanted to watch Indians telling improbable stories, I'd set up a webex with my colleagues there. I'll pass.

Sitting down and watching a movie is a big commitment to me but I managed to sit through the whole thing even though I had my doubts. The cgi was sick and the story line kept me interested. But not the best movie of the decade...

It really was a great movie.  If you can, see the 3D version in a theater that was amazing.

And then when you leave think about it and ask yourself which story did you believe?

I disliked the "special effects" on the ship and how they all got together in that lifeboat but other then that it was watchable...

Isn't it annoying listening to an Indian accent for two hours?

Is that the dumb movie about a tiger in a lifeboat? That tiger would eat that bitch in a second.

Movie doesn't look all that appealing to me.   It's a children's movie.

There's a lot of uproar right now in the VFX industry because this film won the oscar for best VFX and the company who did the CGI tiger, water and environments just filed for Chapter 11.

I haven't watched it personally but heard it was pretty good so I might check it out at some point when I'm not working 80 hours a week.

They took care of that perfectly. There was even a line that alluded to that.

Just checked IMDB.

Looks like this movie is filled with indians.

How can you even bare to watch this drivel.

Good thing movies only come with stimuli for vision and hearing these days, if smell was implemented, the stench of curry would be unbearable.

Do the 3D glasses work on your slit eyes?

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!!!!

RAT!  We had to leave the theater at that part of the movie where the tiger walked off into the jungle but I have heard that those sequence of events that  occurred between the kid and the animals is explained and clarified at the end.

(Something like the 'animals' in the life-boat were not really there at all but were simply a figment of his imagination which kept him from going insane.)

Or something like that! ..... which would certainly mean that this was NOT a kid's movie.

I'd appreciate it if you could elaborate on those details.

I gotta admit that the tiger looked very real and especially when he lunged  at the kid while the kid attempted to climb back into the boat.

I've participated in some 'green screen' productions but how those tiger scenes were done, is beyond my understanding.
