Staged video . . . all hotels have courtesy phones at many different  locations on each floor, one would only need to use one. THE BEEF worked in the hotel industry for years and naked people locked out of rooms is all to common. The desk clerk ( who did not usher the " naked guest " out of public view ) would be at the very least suspended.

1) First of all, you wouldn't come fully all the way out of your room and around the corner to put the tray out. You'd just slide it out

2) Anybody who's ever been in a hotel ONCE knows the door locks behind you

3) His reaction coming back to see the door closed was so 'movie dramatic'

4) You would ask the two guys walking by to tell the desk about your situation

5) You'd knock on doors to get security there

6) The woman's reaction in the elevator seemed staged
