Author Topic: Lou & Arnold at The Arnold Classic 2013 (Read 6650 times)

I have to disagree with you.

If you think Arnold gives two shits about Lou, you are sorely mistaken.

You see, Arnold has defeated everyone in bodybuilding. When I say that Arnold has defeated everyone in bodybuilding, I mean absolutely everyone.

What other competitor has garnered the level of success that Arnold has garnered? No one.

What other IFBB official or figurehead had earned more money than Arnold? No one.

What other bodybuilder, besides Arnold, has become synonymous with everything bodybuilding related, spanning across all generations? No one.

What other IFBB bodybuilder or figure has actually made it to Hollywood and ruled over the big screen? No one.

What other IFBB bodybuilder has managed to become Governor of a state? No one.

What other IFBB bodybuilder has the influence, power and money to actually sit down with the President of the USA by way of a simple phone call? No one.

So, if you think that Arnold cares about a small figment of his past involving a greedy gimp that has the balls to even charge disabled kids $20 for a useless picture, that over time mainly serves as toilet paper or as a windowsill pigeon stool remover, I think you are very mistaken.

Arnold doesn't take pride in walking by and "owning" Lou, on the contrary, he takes pride in actually OWNING the entire bodybuilding world and knowing that he can do anything he wants with it in a heartbeat, if he so desired.

Arnold was always bigger than life when compared to Lou, that will never change..

Lou probably made some smart ass comment off-camera to arnold 35 years ago.

And Arnold probably reminds him of it every year when they meet.

Lou's just happy to be seen with arnold, so he endures the annual reminder of "oh, remember when you said the Hulk would make you bigger than me, Louie?"

I have to disagree, on that, Arnold took pride on owning BB up until 1980, after that, he moved on to bigger and better things,he never again cared for BB just used (Weider publications) as an outlet to push his movies, he says it all the time "always hungry,conquering,moving forward and all that"..... it was Lorimer who brought the "what If there's a contest bigger than the O with your name on it? "that trigged his ego to make the Arnold Classic and nothing more.... but Arnold philosophy? conquers, and moves to the next challenge plain and simple....his recents goals were congress or even the Presidency ..... but we all know how his political carreer ended , family,love child etc,going back to movies was not longer on his radar (not his style either) but given the situation he thought he could "fix" his image and b a winner in an action motion picture...

Again, Arnold knows he OWNS the entire bodybuilding world Singe 1980. in his own words: "you can't take the whole thing seriously,oiled up exposing yourself in front of an audiece, that's what I didnt like at all" ...

He wants no part in BB since 1974!!! ,unless it was as a stepping stone,Is always all about his NAME, Today,after all he has accomplished 30 plus years later and away from BB,for his monumental ego is pretty much a defeat, knowing that the only fan base willing to kiss his ass forever are middle age,juiced, bodybuilers,wackos and weirdos like he himself likes to called them (off the record) is not longer something to take pride of,at least not by Arnold's standars.
