Wiggs, for many of the older guys it is because they've heard the same outright lies, bullshit, falsehoods, outlandish claims, fabrications, backstabbing, jealousy, pettiness, rigged contests, cheating, stealing, G4P, escorting, whoring, pedophilia, and everything else this ridiculous "sport" has tried to feed us for decades and we're tired of it. As participants we have the right to voice an opinion.
I still enjoy training.
I still enjoying watching 1 or 2 shows a year.
I hate what bodybuilding has become.
But when I look back, nothing really has changed all that much. The things I hated when I first started, I still hate today. What was wrong with the "sport" then, is still wrong with the "sport" now. Bodybuilding will never be more than a freakish subculture that hides in the shadows of society. The Weiders could have cleaned up competitive bodybuilding any time they would have wanted to, but there wasn't any money in it for them to do that.
