Here's a lesson on North Korea. They threaten nukes and war. We put sanctions on them but give them millions in food in the spirit of "compassion" to the down trodden people  to be quiet. They stay quiet for awhile until they need more food. This had been going on since Clinton. Now the sanctions involves banking and it's making them go berserk. They are very dangerous.

They are dangerous as hell considering the crazy amount the government spends on arms. I wouldn't doubt that they are using all their resources to make a missile that can carry a nuclear war head to the US. When they test fire an unarmed missile and it reaches the US we will have no other option than to make their country a flat parking lot.

Seriously, NK's nuke arsenal is tiny.  Smaller than the U.S.'s circa the late 1940s :\  But logistics and industrial capacity are what win wars.  We can land troops on their soil or nuke them from afar all day long.  The most optimistic projections of their nuclear strike range barely reach Alaska IIRC, and they aren't going to win wars detonating their couple of puny kiloton-class devices on Wasilla or somesuch vitally strategic targets, ROTFLMAO.  

And forget them landing any troops on American soil.  The Chinese, who are decades ahead of NK, couldn't even invade Hong Kong for God's sake -- and it's right on their fucking doorstep!

North korea has very little compassion for its people, they would nuke america as they dont care if their own people get nuked. This is why they are dangerous.

There military isn't a joke. Remember the Korean war? The have a huge army and a full navy. They can destroy Seoul quickly with all their artillery pointed at the city. Fighting them with conventionally arms wouldn't be a cake walk. The death toll was so high during the Korean war everyone decided to just split the country. The only way nukes would happen is if they shot a practice missile at the US and it reached our soil. They might have limited nukes but imagine if just small one hit LA?

If one missile with a nuke ever made it to America from North Korea, it will be because the Hierarchy allowed it to happen for shock and Awe effect.

If they attack the South, it could go like this from what I've read:

North Korea already has agents and saboteurs in place and would prob them up with special-forces who would reach the South via submarine. These are basically suicide squads.

At the same time all their artillery is focused on Seoul and they would hit the city with gas as well.

While at the same time troops will flood into the South via a network of hidden underground tunnels.

The North however only has enough fuel and stored food to last probably at most 3 months in an offensive.

They may have many troops, but many would probably not even have guns. Their vehicles and anti-aircraft equipment is also very outdated.

They would be able to do massive damage on the South and probably wipe out Seoul, their aim would be to take control of the South as quickly as possible before America sends more troops from nearby such as Japan.

However, there is no way they will be able to last an American invasion unless once again China steps in.
