I have  A L W A Y S  been curious about Accutane . . .
but have heard that you feel like SH!T while on it . . .
and concerns over toxicity . . . limited my interest . . .
and in turn use.

A Cool prospect . . . not quite sure how to do it . . .
2nd hand from an INFORMED buddy recommended
Accutane and Retin-A (sp?) and said the two used
together caused subaceous gland to atrophy and
that this would limit issues down the road . . .

This mention was years ago - and made sense,
but I cannot confirm the combo personally.

I dunno - muscle
best of luck . . .

I've used Accutane a few times, never noticed that I felt worse though. Shit works though, only drawback for me is some seriously chapped lips!

a good spot ointment is called Cleocin-T gel; a potent antibiotic that will bridge the other topical treatments nicely.

My doc prescribed it for me........it works......I've never needed Accutane or Retin-A.

Basically you get the area wet first and then use a washcloth to massage the ointment in to the affected area, let it sit for a few mintues until it dissipates, then wash it off in the shower.

I used this on my delts and upper back and have had no problems......after 2 treatments.....

I thought I'd have to use it like twice a week, but so far it's pretty much dried up the area.

Hey man- yep me too.  I had no problems before I started cycling.  Then during my cycle I had a little.  Now that I've been off and only in my second week of being off, I'm breaking out- I HOPE it stops soon but I guess that's the price I'll pay for putting on 20lbs.

I really would avoid using Accutane unless you have severe acne that won't go away with other treatments.

No script.

I did it twice and haven't used it since.

No acne.

accutane after trying other options, some people just produce too much oil and are predisposed to breakouts.  Cycles, especially towards the end will certainly set them off.  All the topical solutions are fine, but accutane hits the root of the problem deep in the skin, before it has a chance to manifest itself in the form of breakouts.

Accutane is isotretinoin, which inhibits sebaceous gland function and keritinization.

Biggest side effect, of course, is to females of child-bearing age--it is a MAJOR inducer of serious birth defects.  This should give you some idea of it's level of toxicity.

For our purposes, major side effects can include depression, psychosis and, rarely, suicidal ideation.  NOT a good thing for those on AAS who can experience this anyway.  I am particularly concerned about those who take accutane post cycle, when (as many of you have noticed) acne can become particularly bad, even when you made it through the cycle without any eruptions.  Many of us are prone to post-cycle depression, and this combination could prove to be particularly harmful.

Other side effects include intracranial hypertension (also known as pseudotumor cerebri), pancreatitis, elevated triglycerides, hepatoxicity and vision impairment (sound like good things for someone taking AAS?? or taking nolva post-cycle which can also lead to visual changes), as well as hearing impairment and decreased bone mineral density.

I think it would be reasonable to suggest avoiding accutane at all costs.

I'm also using EQ for the first time (if I recall our present cycles are pretty similar).  I'm into the end of week 3 of a 20-weeker.  It will be interesting to see if I break out, although at age 41 I may not be as prone as a 20 yr-old.

I feel bad for those kids who get the cystic acne.......that shit looks rough.

I guess I'm blessed like that, that and I don't lose hair from AAS.

On the other hand, I'm starting to grow hair on my upper back now...... :-\

I feel you on that back hair bro, it started happening to me really bad this year. Before it wasn't that bad, I could just shave it off myself and only had to do this every 2 or 3 wks. Now I've gotton to where there is just too much... definitely going to get this shit permanently removed asap.
