As a long time horror fan, (shocked as a kid by Dawn of the Dead and later movies like Nekromantik) I figured nothing could shock me. Films like Hostel and Saw were entertaining but not disturbing. Newer movies like Human Centipede 1 & 2, Serbian Film, etc are so over the top was wondering anyone else seen these insane films that are extreme horror these days?!?!?

Scream is a good scary movie. Watched that as a teen and was never the same again. What has been seen cannot be unseen.

Never understood the fuss about human centipede but was drunk and fell asleep halfway though so cant fairly judge it.
Watched a film in french the other day about a pregnant whore with some demon thing inside her.she had her tits out most of the film so well worth watching if you can see it.

 I'm a film buff and Cannibal Holocaust, Men Behind The Sun, and a British TV movie about nuclear war called Threads are probably the most disturbing films I've seen. The third one is the only film that gave me nightmares.

Life is boring for many, so they used weird and odd gory horror-movies as an escapade probably.

Myself i see no joy nor pleasure in such films.

It has to be a good story, excitement, good character-buildup etc

There's a sick audience though who love this.  When I was in Thailand the taxi driver was telling me how lots of Germans love going to Bangkok to this whore district of super young girls to video tape their child porno.  Sick fucks everywhere
