Walking Dead -Season 4 trailer arrives Friday
« on: March 10, 2013, 05:31:25 PM »
I finally watched all the old episodes on Netflix.  Wow, season 1 may have been the best of all of them.   Napalming the streets.... just some really cool sci fi imagery on the show.

Netflix is particularly nice because you can fast fwd thru all Loris' whining.  Looking fwd to tonight's episode.  Governor getting off'd finally?

Did the same....got into it at the beginning of season two, after enduring her meltdowns a few times I FF everyone time she opened her mouth....so glad she is dead.

Thank God Rick seems to have snapped out of that dickhead state he was in

I have the dvds and I've been downloading season 3 cause I missed some episodes. Season 2 was the best IMO.

yeah he was quite the little bitch early on.  "But we have to go back, i gave my word, what if hershel gets drunk and feels bad", and walking into a gun battle at a bar.

He finally manned up against Shane, that was good to see.

All true...but I'm talking about his recent dickhead state where he's walking around in circles.  LOL

yeah i'm getting a little bored with this season.  all those AMC shows have a stinker of a show each year.  Remember breaking bad "the fly" episode where it's just walt chasing a fly for an hour?   It's art or something... or they just can't fill 13 or 18 episodes.

That was the only breaking bad episode I could never get into.

indeed!   I started about 2-3 episodes into the season 3, where they find the prison.   Season 1 ended completely badass.  Season 2 was great but the end, just lost in the woods near the prison, was a little less dramatic.  Great season though.   Netflix won't give up the first half of season 3 yet.  I've seen most of them.

I admit tho... walking to the fridge at 2am after watching zombies while working...  those cats scare the shit outta me sometimes.

the show is about how quickly we lose our civilised front

we are all basically savages

we are all tribal

and above all our instinct for survival far outweighs our moral code

thats what makes it such a great programme the zombies are incidental

and merely a comparison for the descent into savagery of the humans

You don`t need Zombie movies to show that aspect of humanity.  All one has to do is look at history.

Its just too simple of a plot device to use in my opinion.

I understand where you're coming from, but the zombie part is actually getting less and less, and it's more about the tension between humans caused by them.
