I have a career and not just a job. However bodybuilding is my side hobby For heck of it I wondered what kind of certs are recognized or accredited out there on nutrition and training but meh. I personally believe in experience above all else, but I guess no one can give me an answer to the original question oh well.

If you can make side cash as a personal trainer, go for it. Cant hurt. Plus, most gym you train at will let you work out for free.

Back in the day, I remember Coach telling me ACE was a good certification program.

Just court fatasses at the gym and in the work place. CERTs aren't worth the money they're printed on, and to pay for the drivel they teach is just ridiculous.

You need a certification so you can get proper Personal Trainer Insurance in the event one of your clients get injured.  In addition, most bank loans for gyms and training studio will require a person to be capable of performing the job...meaning that you'll need a certification.


The big thing of course is to LEARN how to do your job properly.
