These boards do not represent the audiance, not even close, how many people here go to shows, trust me anyone that has competed or has been to the shows will 100% agree with me and not even up for debate that the crowd loves that shit, absolutely love it, they are screaming, yelling, chearing, they simply love it.

Judging anything based on getbig's opinion is outrageous given we are bunch of weirdo's or maybe we are the normal ones    ... don't know 

I live at these shows and classic posing is respected but it does not get the crowd reaction Kai gets when he guest poses, or even king Kamali believe it or not, I seen him guest pose and he got a standing ovation, not lying I live at these shows year round since I work for them.

As for his back round in stripping and all that shit, well that may hurt his placings but his guest posing gimmicks bring him only ''like'' from the bodybuilding community,only the forums crucify him and the forums only make up 5-10% of the bodybuilding community at the very most.

and that is why half your audience will be empty, the audiance members that attend shows are there for 1 of 2 reasons, 1 to see there friend or family compete or 2 to see an IFBB pro guest pose, if you don't know this you have no business promoting a show, sorry.

 @ meso 78, serious question bro?... have you ever been to a bodybuilding show?, if you have you would never make such a comment, the judges love that shit and the promotors love that shit and pray that when they get a guess poser they run gimmicks the way Kai does,.

in fact Kai would be a dummy not to do what he does when he is making 6000 dollars for his appearance and yes every promotor pays this and he is in demand for guest appearance. We had him last year at the provincials where I was stage Marshall and the the crowd (1200 people) went crazy, almost on their feet, the crowd at any show does not think it's stupid and they go crazy with gimmicks like this and that's is why bodybuilders do that.

Most judges (yes Olympia judges) promote shows of their own and they all will hire a guess poser that wears costumes and shit like that so they want Kai to do this, lol at they won't give him a win because of this, nothing can be further from the truth.

I know a lot about contest promotions as I work for promoters down here and are close friends of mine and the promoters who hire the most expensive guess posers are the ones who make there money back and possibly a profit and the ones who cheap out on the guest poser make nothing. So it's there fault for being cheap;

we had sold 700 seats one year in the finals at a national qualifier and had a regular guest poser and the following year we brought in Ronnie at the same show and we got 1100 seats sold, so Ronnie made a huge difference, 40 dollars per ticket, 400 extra ticket sales, you do the math.....not to mention most of the evening ticket buyer also came in the morning (25 dollars per ticket)

 I think Ronnie's fee was around 7500 dollars or around that ball park, was not cheap but was worth every penny.

I can see Ronnie, probably Jay when he was MrO and Kai (esp for the entertainment value), but I wouldn't front that kind of money for Guys like Dex and Phil, who walk up and down the stage.  Yeah, I know they are MrOs, but didn't Dex try to get Ronnie type of money, and there were no takers.
