Reminds me of this midget at my gym that does the same thing to the bench. Hes like 5' feet tall, whats the fucking point?

Well i do frequently perform Smith Squats with a low bench set at parallel. This way i am sure i am going deep enough , cause for some strange reason our smith machine is not in front of a mirror.

Otherwise i am going heavier and heavier and the distance keeps getting shorter and shorter  ;D

When I do legs, i have the badest pain in my knees  that could exist. But i do a couple of sets of light leg extension and leg curl, then i go squat. After like 15 minutes the pain in my knees is gone so it isn't that bad.

You might try using knee sleeves.  Rehband makes a really good 3 mm neoprene.  Put it on when you begin your warm-up sets for squats.  It will keep the heat in and works wonders for eliminating knee pain.

We all see these gays at the gym. Training chest and arms every time you see them. Sure we all have different goals but they kinda piss me off. Or guys that workout their legs once a month cause they think they're already big enough  ::)

Going to the gym to see what the other guy does is wrong......

go to Hooters and drink Corona with buffalo wings instead.

I know allot of guys on here love the legs, but I gotta tell you that in the regular world it is your upper body that gets the attention and admiration from just about everyone.  I never heard anyone ever say "man you got great legs as an introduction.  I do hear though allot Man you got huge arms or your shouders are wider than a doorway or you are a fucking thick dude.  It is the upper body that gets the notice from the people in 99.9999999% of the cases.

Ohhh boy should we all train for attention and what douche bags on the street think.  I HAVE had people (in the know) say "hey great legs".  If you hang with the abercrombe crowd and get a compliment from a tooth pic or some other prick who just trains upper body...what is that really worth?  Now a compliment from competitive BB's that means something, as far as your physique goes.

Agree with caviler here also these guys never get any real size or thickness developed.

These guy's ALWAYS wear shorts that go down past thier knees too...to hide how f*cking rediculious they look.

I wear shorts which go below the knee all the time. I don't have great wheels, but I train them just as muchas everything else.

No matter how big I get, you will never see me go to the gym in a pair of bike shorts!

Bike shorts  LOL...now thats funny.  Regular length shorts ARE available that stop just above the knee.  The point i was making is they use the shorts to hide their lack of legs.  You either got em (legs) or you don't and most people dont...cause they are lazy and afraid.

Yeah, I get what you mean, but fashion these days has most shorts stopping below the knee. I like basketball shorts to train in or board shorts bevause most of the workout stuff from Nike etc is too short for me. Oh yeah, I'm 6'4" too which doesn't help.

Yeah I think im gonna give them a try.

Anyway got a question for you guys. When I squat i always go ass to the ground or at least like maybe 5 inch from the floor.
I do my set with 365 for 6 to 8 reps. it is the way my legs grow the most. But the day after my glutes are sore more than anything else and they gros really really fast. Should I do heavier squat and only go half way so it wont work my glutes that much ? any suggestion ?

Narrow your stance so you are working more quads than glutes.....

I don't go past parallel cause I'm told it puts more strain on your knees and works you glutes, which I don't want.

In practice, I find I get a better pump from going only to parallel cause all the stress is put on the quads, not transferred to the glutes when you go past parallel.

What you should also try is wearing a glittery red sequenced g-string to your next workout to show of those 'wheels of steel'. That would be cool.

thats exactly why i DONT go all the way down. going to the bottom is great for developing strength, but it also puts the focus on your ass and hams. if your a PL or strength athlete, go to the bottom. if your just trying to build quad mass only and sculpt your physique, going all the way down is not necessary and probably actually detrimental to that goal.
for some reason my ass responds rediculously well...so now i focus on only going as low as i can before i feel the tension shift from my quads to my ass muscles...otherwise my ass grows big time and my little legs cant keep up.

For sure agree that is the fashion and it is fine, i wear longer shorts too in fact outside the gym thats all i wear.  Ive got the oppsite problem 5'7", but it is a great height for BB.

If you like to go below parralel then i would suggest only goin down until the top of your quad is about parralel which would mean you are still goin slightly below and on your last set or two drop set to a lighter weight and then go ass to the floor so as to push quads to failure and not over work your glutes or hams but still get them worked good.

I'm wondering why it would piss you off?  Maybe they can't get to use the squat rack since most wankers are doing Barbell Curls or Shrugs off the damned thing.

Curls, I agree, but where are you supposed to do shrugs from?

When i do squats after 5 sets, not always but im runniong to the toilet to throw up.Heavy squats in my opinion are the hardest exercise in the whole bodybuilding routine but that no exscuse not to train legs avoid suats by all means but the leg press i find is the easyist exercise there is, leg extensions are not to hard on the body or are leg curls.
There is one guy at my x gym who had an incredible upperbody 20 inch plus arms huge chest and back and no legs he looked redicously unproportioned in saying that i have no respect for upper bodybuilders.

i respect nobody

The word Respect is abused.

You WILL show Respect -or- you WILL get stepped on.

That's how it works.
