That sucks mate - I'm sorry your friend has passed away. They bring so much to our lives.

My samoyed died in 1993 and my shepherd in 2008. I still miss them both like crazy. Part of the family.

Sorry to hear. My dog passed away almost a year to the day. Thinking of buying a tree to plant in the backyard along with his ashes to honor him. He always loved sleeping under or shitting under trees. :)

Great idea,  I get choked up thinking about past pets.  They truly are a blessing.

Same here, man. And at the risk of sounding a bit fucked up, I honestly get more emotional thinking about my deceased dog than a lot of humans I know who've passed away in the last year. Only dogs are capable of truly unconditional love, we're too flawed for that. It's incredible to share and learn this just by gazing into your best friend's eyes.

I knew there'd be a day where my dogs would pass on and our would wreck me, but I didn't fathom never completely getting over them. Miss the fucker every day. :P

That's not fucked up.  If I'm having a fucked up day and everyone around me is trying to cheer me up, I don't pay attention to them.  But as soon as I get home and I'm putting the key in my door to unlock my house, I look in and see my "wolf pack" wagging their tails, that shit will put a smile on my face, better than any human.  They live each day for us.... and they hold NO evil in their heart... like man does.

people should be more like dogs, they don't judge you, are always happy to see you. live for the moment. they  don't worry about yesterday or the next day just being is enough for them. :( :( :( :( :( :( sad for your loss man.

I've never owned a dog but my old neighbor was DEVASTATED when his dog died years back. It was like he lost a child. I felt bad.

Same here. I don't like to admit it but I do get more tore up at a loss of a dog than a person, even close family.  Like someone in here said there is no evil inside dogs and they are always there to comfort you.

Biggest reason I don't get my own dog now is that it just tears me up to lose them though. Family has a couple dogs though.
