Lolz, they'll never shut down Guantanamo. My grandfather was stationed there a few times during his 31 years in the Navy... and he basically said that all the talk about shutting it down was just for brownie points with the citizens, and that they have no intention of closing that place.
He's also a hardcore Democrat, so it's not like he was saying that to talk shit about Obama... he grew up when FDR was saving the country from the great depression (thats how it appeared to him as a youth) so ever since the Republicans have been the evil rich mans party and the Democrats have been the saviors to the working man. He still feels that way today, and he was totally taken in by Obama, and still is.
Gitmo is too perfect of a military prison... we will never close it.
