hes up there, no doubt.

What are your thoughts on big ass cheat meals once and awhile?  Not talking like a slice of pizza - but a full bore pigout?

I have been dieting for awhile and am very happy so far w the progress - but im always mentally fucked over the idea that it will set me back and ill make a habit of it.

SO NO FATBURNERS AT ALL EVEN CONSIDERING ONE WAS IN LEAN CONDITION TO START LIKE HER FOR THE MOST PART.SHE PROBABLY STAYS CLOSE TO CONTEST FORM ALL YR NO.

You can use them if you wish but her body fat levels can be achieved through diet alone.

I realize that there may be quite a few people here that don't know who I am so just to name a few I have trained King Kamali, Betty Pariso, Gregory Atoyan, Stephanie Collins (pro figure) Tracey Greenword (pro Fitness). I'm sure that there are many I am forgetting, just FYI not bragging.

i know disgusted allows his athletes a whole cheat day, but says not to binge.

i personaly do the exact thing youre asking about, go full out on one huge meal.it stops the fatburning, no doubt, lol, but as long as i wait long enough till hungry again(can take 12-24hrs),it doesnt make me fatter.

i see no problem with these meals,as long theyre not too frequent

Yep I tell my guys to cheat all day usually on Sat, but depending on the person and situation I may structure things differently. For example I may have one do an every other meal cheat, but usually it's every meal. I tell them that when they cheat to eat what ever you like just not so much that you are not able to eat when it comes time for your next meal. I do NOT like to see someone eat only carbs. I like to see mostly carbs and fat in about a 1:1 ratio with little protein.

I followed Kamali's prep when you were working with him.... he looked freaking awesome that year....

this is interesting, bc, when i tried "cheat" meals or days on mostly carbs, id end up looking very flat.
but if fat and carbs ration is as you suggest, i end up very nicely full.

and yes, during those meals i keep protein at a minimum, for some reason, this leads to better results.

i have no idea on the mechanics behind this and why it works, but years of trials are good enough for me.

Very perceptive of you and yes it does seem that when someone just eats carbs (mainly simple) that is doesn't seem to fill them out as well, actually not even close.

This guy is a Lifetime Natural who fill his calories with whatever he likes- He likes Pop Tarts for some reason and usually has his carbs around 400-600 grams all the way to contest day.

youll find he likes the low carb approach.

disgusted is the most knowledgeable guy on dieting here and anywhere i met.

he doesnt practice it himself, but he gets ppl in brutal shape.

i practice it myself and am in shape at all times, but to me you kinda dont listen, youre looking for alternatives.

i hope disgustings reply to you wont be in vain, if ppl like you waste his time, he will eventualy stop giving out his extremly valueable advice

nah man, i'm finally starting to realize that "diet" does indeed play a much more important role that i thought it did

adonis, you look over 12% there
WAY over.  I was forcefeeding myself trying to get to 240 or so in order to try to Deadlift over 600 lbs in 2005.  Did you not read that?

I was over 12 percent easily and by choice.

Tom Platz also ate pop tarts too during prep, but here's the thing. High fructose corn syrup for example among other things will raise up his insulin levels which in turn will tell his body to retain fat.  Anyone can get shredded by starving themselves on a high sugar diet, but their results will be much better by eating quality food in a certain proportion. They will retain muscle mass easier and even build while dieting. Someone who is 100% natural doesn't not have much room for error like someone who may be using many different type of fat burners like thyroid dnp etc.

Do you have a copy of this kids diet?  I would def believe that this kid can eat a pop tart or two daily during his contest prep, but I am curious what other type of high sugar foods he may be eating and if so would like to know what his rational is for doing so.

3DMJ: Describe your nutrition when training for a competition.

Alberto Nunez: Foods don’t ever change too much. Quesadillas, Pop-Tarts, and some of my favorite cereals are still staples. The total calories change, and protein is upped a bit. Training is very similar to the offseason protocol, as cliché as it sounds, whatever helps you gain, will help you retain.

but can she hold on to the muscle while dieting without the gear?

Absolutely!! I have never had anyone natural or not lose any muscle while dieting. There is no need for that if things are done right. I keep having to remind myself that I am talking to BBers and not people who are interested in living a long healthy life. What I mean by that is I also believe that stimulating insulin thru sugar consumption will shorten a persons life span. Well it's a fact actually, but coincidently I first started using the low carb diet for contest training and then realized much later that it also will keep a person healthy as they get older. I'm out till later.  :)

I do appreciate you dispelling some of the myths for sure, such as getting lean is not a result of drugs and that naturals can diet without losing muscle.  Its good to see it coming from another source that others may feel comfortable to trust.  Sevatese was convinced that it was impossible and used to rant about how anyone under 9 percent was taking drugs because its impossible.  I am glad you showed him up.

With that said, when it comes to diet, there is more than one way to skin a cat for sure.  What Disgusted does, works.  Plain and simple.  Whatever these other people do, work as well.  I believe there is room for all approaches.

The question is how much? IMO not enuff to care about if you are dieting correctly. Remember, BBig is an illusion.
