I have to say, Zane doesn't get his props around here. I would rather look like him than any of today's current crop. That black and white vacuum shot has to be one of the most iconic bbing poses (and pic). Right up there with Arnold's twisting one arm shot, and Sergio's Victory pose.

Zane's 1977 seminar would've gone over like a lead balloon in the pump training threads

Quote
Remember when you have minimum time, you can't have maximum effort. Really, if you can rest a little longer, you can put more effort into your workout. When you compromise on time, you minimize the amount of weight you use. The amount of weight you use on an exercise is what makes the muscle bigger. So when I am training for size, I rest longer so that I can use heavier weights.

Quote
Right now (June, 1977) I am training with the single set system adding weight whenever possible.

Zane killing Arnold on structure (not size)

A none-too-common 'true' relaxed from arnie i.e. shoulders not hiked up to disguise their slope

"The amount of weight you use on an exercise is what makes the muscle bigger."

THIS is what i've been saying all along and so it's good to know that King Zane agrees 8)

nah they both have their lats out and are rotating the shoulders bit inwards, to flex the pecs and create the arm-delt tie ins

theyre both about as relaxed as a stiff penis there

Its a bad pic at a bad angle, it highlights arnolds sloped delts a bit, still massive

Well possibly but say Sergio Oliva. I bet his wrist was bigger than mine so easier to increase bicep size because the bone size adds to the overall arm size. Just saying.

The actual bone size of his wrist was not very big. It was just that the muscle bellies reached so low.

As I said earlier, I think it has to do with bone density.

In Arnold's Encyclopedia he also comments on his 'bird like' bone structure and how people were surprised at the size of his wrists and how they could easily put their hands around them.

Arnold then said something like 'small bones, big muscles'.

it is documented white people have a higher bone density

Interesting, in that pic Sergio does have small wrists. There are Anomalies to about everything in life. Just my experience a few people I train are small and have a small bone structure they will never be big they can increase size yea I tell them when they start.

Flex Wheeler and Sergio both had small wrists......both men had tremendous arm develoment......small joints can accentuate the illusion of having large looking arms. My 2 cents.
