No, its a stupid waste of money. Most people never come out winners. Even if you win $10,000 on a lottery ticket, you most likely spent more than that in losing tickets. Obviously, this is not including those that gamble once in a blue moon. But for the people who are consistent gamblers, they always lose more, even if it looks like they are winning. They just never account for all the money they lost in the past, and only look whats currently in their pocket.

Ill keep my money.

That logic does not make sense when it comes to gambling. If you spent $20,000 in lotto tickets, and finally win $10,000, how have you come out on top? What you are tomorrow is $10,000 less poor. Fact.

people who buy state lotto tickets are dumb. besides the person who wins the jackpot you have a better chance of having a 10/10 girl of your dreams walk up to you on the street and offer to be your personal fuck doll.

now you gonna tell me the detroit tigers can't beat the minnesota twins by 2 runs today?

You're right about the lottery, it's for fools.

Slots are the same, and a lot of Casino games.

You can consistently make money at black jack though and some other games if you know what you're doing.

you don't even need to follow. i've seen maybe 4 soccer games my whole life but i  bet heavily on it. it has a good payout value

if you wanna jump on it, wait for a team to win streak 4 games and then ride it until they lose

sort of true.  Everyone at the blackjack tables needs to know what they are doing.  I was at a table where some fuck kept on hitting even with good cards always taking away the bad cards from the dealer and the dealer kept on winning and the table kept on losing.  The guy was fucking it up for everyone.

But If the table is full of good players it's easy to clean house.  I went from $25 to $500 playing at a table with this guy at the anchor spot who would sacrifice his hand for the table.  The guy was awesome.

Cool, that does sound good

I like the probability factor.  I mean you can't lose overall if you do the math on this stuff.

True story, about 15 years ago I go to a $25 min table.  I sit beside this guy who tells me he is an MIT stats professor.  He would spout off odds each time telling me when to hit or stay.  I couldn't lose.  I made so much cash that night.

Thinking about it years later when I heard of that MIT ring, I think he may have been the professor that set it up.

Minny vs. Verlander is a good bet to you?

Yeah, anything can happen and Worely's a sleeper pick, but I don't know if I'd consider it "good".

best way is to bet by units of your bankroll

$100 (your total gambling money) would break into 100 units.

general rule is to never bet more than 3 units on a single bet, and never more than 5 units in total plays in a day. never bet what you can't afford to lose.

Once a year, I like to go down to Vegas and hit the poker tables (Texas Hold'em). It can be fun, but there are way too many pros working those tables.

More often, I like to go to local poker games at the homes of friends. It's fun, fair and typically spent laughing, while telling old stories.

If you play the run line that eliminates the money line, no?   That's how it worked when I used to work for the bookmaker.
