Let's get a few things straight. Global warming is occuring, this however occurs naturally. It however takes centuries for these cycles to occur, this is occuring in a 100 years.
Predictions of the human made model that have come true:
Oceans would become heat sinks
glacial loss
more extreme weather phenomenon (obvious as day)
more variable winters and summers, hotter summers and more extreme cold winters in moderate areas
northern latitudes will experience warming first (what do you know, Canada and russia are warming faster then lower latitudes (twice the rate))
the reason you should care is that many low lying coastal regions and atoll/island based countries could be wiped off the earth. Many species of animals will die, storms will worsen costing money and lives. The rising sea level is already becoming an issue in many places like the Maldives.
