I think its amazing he started training in his 40s after his doc told him he had to turn things around, his health was stuffed, and he turned pro in his 50s, stood on stage with some very good 90s bbers, and great masters showings later on

So he went from being unhealthy to even more unhealthy with competitive bbing

I know what you mean, I don't know what his health was like, but I do recall him relating that the doctor said he must stop drinking, smoking and over working himself immediately and start exercising or he wouldn't see his 50th bday

And at over 60 he "appeared" healthy, was alive and competing at masters olympia
