the rolling around and sweaty dick punching just doesnt appeal to a very broad audience

house wives can understand the sport of boxing instinctively

like football, it's easy to understand and get excited about to watch

but all that rolling around in awkward positions doesnt appeal to most people who are not into the sport

thats true but little by little more people r switching over from boxing to MMA, 10 years ago MMA was alot more underground as far as the people who watched it mostly trained bjj or mma, now when i go to a bar n the ufc is on a tv n boxing is on another tv it seems like everyones watching the mma. im not knocking boxing cause i enjoy watching good boxing matches but i think mma will eventually take over totally

MMA always looks cowardly to me, the way they keep pounding on a guy who's clearly out.
If you did that in a street fight you would be set upon by the crowd.

yes and they also deliberately try to disfigure eachother

some will try to slam their heels into the mouth of a down oponent just to destroy the teeth completely

amateurs are the worst

i agree, i like to see great ko,s myself whether its in MMA or BOXING, i think what turns alot of people off to MMA is they see a (LAY N PRAY) type of match where 2 guys r not really active on the ground, i hate that also. but if they ever seen a match with someone like matt serra on the ground or jose aldo using his awesome stand up im sure they would enjoy it more. the other problem is that if a person really doesnt understand the ground game n they r watching it they get alittle bored, but to a student of the game u can c when a guys setting up a nice triangle or an arm bar n appreciate it. people can get a lucky knock out in a fight but no one can get a lucky submission

The UFC is bringing in a ton of money. They just are not giving it to the fighters. How can a top fighter fight for a title for 200K when Floyd Mayweather gets 20 million a fight? I guess Dana is a smart guy saying I'll take the 20 million and give the cauliflower ear guy chump change. Some of these UFC guys are getting next to nothing to fight.
