Fook, there are reports that half the town is leveled.  Many buildings burning, many casualties.  Nursing home collapsed, many trapped inside.  Death toll is going to be up there.   :'(

Fertilizer by itself can't be explosive. Any chemical product used in agriculture has to obey 2 rules:
- Not be toxic for the plant
- Not be flammable

HOWEVER, I'm not aware of the way the fertilizers are made and I bet some of the raw material are indeed flammable.

no fly zone in effect areound the town of west,texas
